According to the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions’ quality measurement of the municipalities’ exercise of authority and service to entrepreneurs, “Öppen jämförelse Företagsklimat”, Boden municipality is still one of Sweden’s best in several categories and the highest ranked Norrbotten municipality.

In the project Future feed for poultry, fish and pork that is starting now, Boden has a central role in the fish feed part of the project. The experimental facility is planned to be located next to the test greenhouse at the Boden Plug & Play area and will be run by staff from the Boden labor market unit, trained by researchers at SLU.

Food tech company Agtira has signed an agreement with food group Greenfood for a new facility in Boden. The contract is worth up to SEK 285 million. The plant in Boden is planned to be up to 10 000 m2 in size and heated with surplus energy from the Hive data hall.

The green transformation of society means business opportunities for the local business community. On behalf of the municipality of Boden, Boden Business Park is conducting a survey to get an updated picture of the current situation with you, our existing business community.

The Land and Environment Court has now announced that the appeals against the zoning plan for the so-called infrastructure corridor to the Boden Industrial Park are rejected. This means that the adoption decision stands and is another important step in the transformation of the city of Boden.

The development plan for Boden Industrial Park has now become law. This ensures the possibility of applying for building permits for H2 Green Steel and others interested in establishing themselves here. This means that the work is entering a new phase on several levels.

In March, NyföretagarCentrum Nord and Boden Business Park are offering a free training course for those who want to start a business or who have already started and run their business for up to three years.

Starting from Boden, 14 Master’s students from all over the world, with ABB as the initiator, have been running a research project on industrial symbiosis. Recently, the team visited Boden to present the tools developed to contribute to a society where industries live in symbiosis, reduce emissions and increase profitability.
