The Land and Environment Court has approved H2 Green Steel’s application for an environmental permit for a green steel production facility at Boden Industrial Park.

The Swedish gaming industry is growing steadily, but there is a lack of skills. At the Boden Game Camp, students can start their journey towards a future in the new basic industry already in high school.

In the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise’s annual assessment of the summarized business climate in the country’s municipalities, Boden maintains its leading position in the county. This is in spite of the ongoing societal transition and all the challenges that come with it.

High international maturity and good hospitality are characteristics that have been attributed to the international rural destinations of the municipality of Boden. Their welcoming model was highlighted at the Tourism Day and is an important factor in the ongoing societal transformation.

Residual material flows, value chains, roles and opportunities for new business around the planned H2 Green Steel plant, is examined in a feasibility study by Future Eco North Sweden AB.

According to the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions’ quality measurement of the municipalities’ exercise of authority and service to entrepreneurs, “Öppen jämförelse Företagsklimat”, Boden municipality is still one of Sweden’s best in several categories and the highest ranked Norrbotten municipality.

In the project Future feed for poultry, fish and pork that is starting now, Boden has a central role in the fish feed part of the project. The experimental facility is planned to be located next to the test greenhouse at the Boden Plug & Play area and will be run by staff from the Boden labor market unit, trained by researchers at SLU.
