Swedish Lapland wants to operate in an environment with a strong culture of development and cooperation and therefore chose to establish itself in Boden Business Park.
The Swedish Lapland Visitors Board represents the visitor industry in the northernmost and Arctic part of Sweden. The organisation’s employees promote the sustainable development of the industry throughout the region and manage and promote the Swedish Lapland location brand based on the brand promise – Welcome to share our Arctic lifestyle.
Why did you choose to establish your business in Boden Business Park?
– We want to work in environments with a strong culture of development and collaboration where it is easy to work with shared ideas. Our dynamic knowledge organisation interacts with both our primary target group, the hospitality industry, as well as local, regional, national and international stakeholders. WE do this to improve the conditions for the sustainable development of the industry, to spread a broader image of our attractive living environments and to increase the desire to travel to our fantastic region.
The head office is in Luleå, but we have desk hubs in Kiruna, Piteå and now also in Boden. It helps us do a better job, and offers our employees a closer workplace for greater flexibility with their life balance. In addition, we are reducing our organisation’s carbon footprint by reducing work-related travel,” says Annika Fredriksson, CEO.
What are you up to?
-Oh lots. Every day, around the clock, we work with digital marketing of the tourism companies’ offer linked to the Swedish Lapland location brand. We engage with the press and influencers on editorial ideas that turn into articles and films around the world. We make our own brand films based on identity marketing, conduct business surveys for planning restart efforts, run business development processes and conduct webinars for the industry, campaign with Visit Sweden and train and air operators and much, much more. We are constantly trying to ensure that we are at the forefront of both national and international developments.
