The railway to Boden Industrial Park is now complete. The project, carried out in close collaboration between the municipality of Boden and Polar Structure, has been completed one month ahead of schedule and under budget.

The new railway includes six kilometers of track and ten bridges and connects directly to the Ore Line, greatly increasing the capacity of one of northern Sweden’s most important transport routes. The completed link is a key prerequisite for the continued development of Boden Industrial Park and the green industrial transition in the region.

– It increases our attractiveness as an establishment municipality and makes Boden Industrial Park even stronger as an industrial hub. This also shows that we can deliver crucial infrastructure quickly and with high quality,” says Magnus Åkerlund, Municipal Manager of Boden Municipality.

Polar Structure highlights the efficient construction process as a key success factor.

– “This is a major step for the project. The fact that we can finish the work ahead of schedule and under budget is very positive and a result of a clear focus on quality and progress throughout the process,” says Daniel Kronheffer, Project Manager at Polar Structure.

The railroad is part of a larger infrastructure project that also includes a new road corridor to the area.
