SKR’s annual quality measurement Insikt shows that Boden municipality continues to deliver high quality in its exercise of authority and service to entrepreneurs. In the combined ranking for 2024, Boden lands in third place in Sweden – with exactly the same high rating (NKI 89) as the top two, Höganäs and Leksand.
Boden is particularly strong in several key areas:
– Catering licenses: Highest rating in Sweden with a CSI of 96.
– Building permits: Top three in the country (CSI 94), which shows continued high efficiency and service in an area that is often perceived as complex.
– Land permits: Second place nationally (CSI 93), where fast and clear processes are recognized by entrepreneurs.
– Fire protection and food control: Among the foremost here as well, with CSI 92 and 87 respectively.
– “We are very pleased that we continue to maintain high quality and receive such high marks from our entrepreneurs. This is further proof that our work to create a business-friendly exercise of authority is producing results,” says Mats Berg, Head of Business in Boden Municipality.
– It is particularly pleasing and impressive that we are performing at the top at the same time as we are in the midst of an extensive and sometimes demanding societal transition. A big congratulations to all employees.
Basis for quality development
The Insikt survey is conducted by Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SALAR) in collaboration with Stockholm Business Alliance. Entrepreneurs who have had contact with the municipality in seven authority areas assess factors such as treatment, efficiency, legal certainty and access to information. The results provide an important basis for continued quality development.
Boden is one of only seven municipalities in Sweden to have a CSI above 75 in all four mandatory areas – a stable performance that shows the breadth of local development work.
