Dear Game Studio Representatives, we are inviting 1-2 representatives from your studio to our next Studio Lunch! This time we will begin with a digital lecture hosted by Arctic Game and A Working Lab the cinema and we’ll end with a lunch at Torget restaurant.

Thanks to our collaboration within Arctic Game, we have the opportunity to participate in a lecture hosted by Arctic Game and A Working Lab featuring Johan Nordlund, an IP lawyer at Umeå University Holding.

What can you expect from the lecture?
This lecture offers an opportunity to delve into the realm of intellectual property (IP) and its significance within game development. We will explore various aspects including trademarks, design, copyrights, and licensing, providing valuable insights into how IP impacts you and others in the industry. Questions surrounding IP often arise at different stages of development, from initial character or game name selections to later phases involving collaborations or revenue generation.

Johan Nordlund, IP lawyer at Umeå University Holding. With approximately 9 years of experience in IP and contract law, Johan has worked both nationally and internationally, including positions at the Swedish Patent and Registration Office and within the innovation sphere at Umeå University.
