In the future, if I start a family, I want to live somewhere where they can thrive too. I had no idea all of this existed,\u201d says Ivan R\u00f6hlcke, from Stockholm and a student of industrial engineering and management at LTU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Agnes H\u00f6kfors from Lule\u00e5, who also studies industrial engineering and management, is attracted by the job opportunities in Boden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI signed up for this day because it looked like a fun and interesting program, and it truly exceeded my expectations,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
William Torikka, who studies political science and is interested in regional development, gained many insights during the trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s exciting to see that things are developing and that there is room here. Just today, I\u2019ve seen many places I could imagine living in. It would be great to work with rural development or something similar,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The day concluded with dinner at Bryggm\u00e4starn in Boden and participation in a well-attended international after-work event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Getting more people to choose Boden<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Hosts for the day were Talent Hub North and Boden Municipality\u2019s team for skills supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe goal is to encourage more students to stay in the region, carry out their thesis work and internships here, and to showcase Boden and everything happening here,\u201d says Anna Andersson, skills coordinator in Boden\u2019s competence team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event was organized by the Talent Hub North project, funded by the European Regional Development Fund and co-financed by Region Norrbotten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
