The municipality of Boden’s work on business continues in the same direction as before – but with a new structure that strengthens the strategic work.
The municipality of Boden has already decided to move from an individual business manager to a joint function for the overall business work, in order to meet the phase in which society is developing.<\/p>\n\n
Thomas Sundqvist took over as Head of Development and Deputy Municipal Manager in August, and the new function is now fully in place. In addition to him, it consists of Municipal Manager Magnus \u00c5kerlund and CEO of Boden Business Park, Thomas F\u00e4german. The new collaboration model will help to ensure that the strategic business work is even more anchored, long-term and adapted to the extensive social transition underway in the municipality. <\/p>\n\n
The group meets regularly, at least once a week, to discuss current issues and drive the work forward.<\/p>\n\n
– “We have almost daily contact on these issues because it’s so important to balance and try to keep the momentum going well and at high speed. We had a good way of working before, but now we are doing this to meet today’s conditions,” says Thomas Sundqvist. <\/p>\n\n
For Boden’s entrepreneurs, the change means no difference in the practical work. Boden Business Park continues to be the natural contact for questions regarding starting, developing and establishing a business. Here, business developers offer information and guidance to both existing and new companies. <\/p>\n\n
– Since the turnaround in Boden, we have worked on the basis that our entrepreneurs should be able to get clear answers quickly on the issues that are important to them. “Time to market” may be a tired concept, but it can often be the difference between development and liquidation for a company.
