Boden has the best business climate in the region

It is the business community's own national interest organization Confederation of Swedish Enterprise that has carried out a large survey among entrepreneurs in the country, about how they experience the business climate in the municipality.

For the second year in a row, Boden receives the highest rating of the 14 municipalities in the county, and the answers reinforce the image of Boden as a business-friendly municipality. Recently, Sweden's Municipalities and Regions' measurement of how satisfied business owners are with the municipalities' service in the exercise of authority was also presented, and there Boden received the best rating in the whole country.

The results do not come unexpectedly as Boden has chosen a strategic approach to strengthen and develop long-term cooperation with entrepreneurs and the local business community.

- This is an extremely clear and good signal that once again strengthens the image of Boden as a place for business. Our strong business climate is a critical success factor in the green social transition in which Boden plays an increasingly important role. Now we will increase the pace even more. Claes Nordmark, municipal councillor.

Top 50 in Sweden

Since 2012, the rating has steadily improved. From 2.5 to 4.1. Boden is the only municipality in Norrbotten that passes 4.0 in overall rating and now the ambition is to enter the top 50 list in Sweden.
Arjeplog and Älvsbyn are the municipalities in the county that are closest to Boden with 3.7 and 3.4 ratings respectively.

- It is a hard and consistent job that allows us to advance our positions. Close and daily contacts with our entrepreneurs mean that we can constantly pick up areas for improvement and avoid misunderstandings. Now that the pressure is increasing, it is especially important that we have our local business community with us in order to maximize the effects of the social change we are in. Mats Berg, head of municipality and business.

Final ranking this autumn

Every year, Confederation of Swedish Enterprise measures roughly 30,000 companies' experiences of running businesses in their municipalities. The responses from the survey provide an image of how the business climate is perceived by the companies. The answers are then added together using five statistical factors to form a ranking that makes it possible to compare Sweden's 290 municipalities. The final ranking will be presented later this autumn.
